What are dental implants?

Dental implants are a implant procedures that allow patients to have permanently attached crowns or lock-in loose dentures. If you’re looking for ultimate in comfort, aesthetic and functionality in dental restorations, look no further.

Why would I need dental implants?

Patients who have lost one or more teeth or those missing teeth that effect their bite (and how they chew food) are often excellent candidates for dental implants.

What are they made of?

Dental implants are actual composed of titanium. Titanium doesn’t rust, corrode, and is stronger than steel, so it will hold your crowns and/or dentures in place without much difficulty.

Most of all, titanium is biocompatible with human bone. Biocompatibility means the bone will grow around the implant and minimizes the change for rejection.

How long is the procedure?

Implants are actually done in a single Clinic visit. However, we must wait a minimum of 2-4 months before fitting crowns and or/dentures to the implant. The reason for such a long wait is because it takes 2-4 months for the bone to grow around the implant. This is important because the crowns and dentures need a solid foundation.
